TradeWinds Resort - Island Grand
Mission of Organization: To provide superior beachfront and destination resort settings and services which consistently result in:

Job Description & Duties:
Depending on the week, I could work any of the following shifts:
- Office or Hut (selling slide and bungee tokens): 08:30 - 1830
- Paddle Boats: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
- KONK (kids only, no kidding = babysitting): 8:30 am - 2:30 pm or 5:30 - 9:30/11:30 pm
- Programs: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm (mostly painting and crafts, and one or two poolside events such as belly-flop contests, talent shows, etc.)
- SnoCones: 10:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Fitness: 6:00 - 8:30 am (normally, programs or morning KONK is added to this shift)
- Night Programs: 8:00 - 11:30 pm (glow-in-the-dark volleyball or golf, teen night, movies by the pool)
- Deep See Fishing: 730 am - 12:30 pm (every friday if 6 people sign up, employee basically fishes along with the guests)

- Paid min. wage (which in Florida is 6.67!)
- $115 taken out each week for housing (BUT! its a 2/1 condo, 10 minute walk from the beach, backyard is the marina (with stingrays and manatees!), fully furnished...down to the nail polish remover, swimming pool in the complex, and less than 2 miles from the resort)
- If working Tuesday - Saturday and kids are in KONK, you can order lunch/dinner.
- Access to gym, 25% off salon, two tennis courts, five swimming pools, putt-putt course, paddle boats, water trykes, beautiful beach, huge water slide, parasailing, dophin cruises, pirate shows on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Achievements:
- Big Project: planning and implementing a week of activities for the Fourth of July (our case- June 28-July 4th)
- By the end of the summer I could take the microphone and m.c. a contest in front of a hundred guests (big accomplishment for those with a fear of public speaking---me!)
